My journey from being a Psychotherapist to a   PSYCH-K® Facilitator

I remember starting my Psychology career with such excitement and passion. I have always had a deep interest in the human mind and behavior. I have been practicing psychotherapy for a decade and I can say that I now  have more passion and excitement than I had on my first day as a qualified therapist and this is thanks to PSYCH-K®. Early in my career as a therapist, I started to notice a pattern among my clients and even about my superiors in the field. It was becoming the norm to spend several months and even years coming to therapy to gain insight and identify solutions to problems that would never go away completely. My clients all knew what was the root of their psychological torment but they would still struggle day after day to overcome the impending doom and emotional distress. I noticed they grew fond of coming to talk about their problems and then go back home to them again. Real and sustainable change was not taking place. Even when change was taking place, something else would come up that would rob them of their emotional accomplishment and would send them back to therapy. It felt as if they were destined to survive instead of thrive. It was after many years that I came across what seemed to be a beacon of hope. In the mountains of the Andes I experienced the great healing power of a sacred plant called Ayahuasca with the help of amazing Shamans. It was then when I made the decision that Psychotherapy alone was not enough to heal nor transform people’s lives. It became obvious to me that I was working at a very superficial level and it would take several years of therapy for traumas and emotional pain to be resolved. To put it in perspective, one ceremony of Ayahuasca that normally takes 4-5 hours  was the equivalent to 10 years in therapy. As you can imagine, I wanted to make a change in the way I was helping people to heal. I started to create a plan to take my clients to Peru to experience the deep healing and transformation using the medicine plant Ayahuasca. However, this project was placed on hold when I started the journey of motherhood because I wanted to take a whole year off to spend it with my baby and to settle myself in my new role as a first time mother. It was during my early months of postpartum that I came across this magical and wonderful modality called PSYCH-K® that made me say “wow, this is as powerful as Ayahuasca but without the side effects (those of you that have done Ayahuasca know what I am talking about) nor with the inconvenience of having to travel to the Andes”. The reason why I even tried PSYCH-K® was because I started to experience postpartum anxiety as a result of family conflicts with my family of origin. Little by little it started to become too much for me to handle and my coping skills were no longer working for the first time in my life. It was then when I decided it was time for me to seek help so I could come back to my normal happy state before it got more complicated. My husband had been on his own journey trying to find something that would help him reprogram the mind and luckily, he found PSYCH-K® on the website of Dr. Bruce Lipton. My husband talked to me about this modality and when I read about it in the book The Biology of Belief by Dr. Bruce Lipton it became evident to me that this was what I needed at that  moment. I quickly booked a PSYCH-K® session and to my surprise, I was able to resolve and get rid of my postpartum anxiety within just one session. Even more to my surprise, I was able to solve the pressing anxiety I had around my mother and I transformed my relationship with her two days after my PSYCH-K® session.  It was so shocking to me that I just could not believe what was happening and how fast everything was changing. Honestly, I even felt overwhelmed at first by so many positive changes that were taking place in such a short time. The positive impact felt as deep as the ones I obtained during my 7 Ayahuasca ceremonies. It was after that session that I decided to do all the training necessary to become a PSYCH-K® facilitator and be able to finally provide my clients with such a powerful and efficient transformational modality. Since Psychology continues to be a passion for me, I now use psychotherapy as a complement to PSYCH-K® for clients to process the changes that will start to take place in their lives and for them to have a smoother journey in their self-actualization path. In my personal case, I would have benefited so much from having had a psychotherapy session with the same PSYCH-K® facilitator I had my session with so I could process all the overwhelming positive changes that were taking place in my life. I have also noticed that when my clients do their PSYCH-K® session they have so much to tell and talk about that they love to be able to do so in the safe space of psychotherapy. I can now say that my heart is full since I was able to accomplish one of my dreams in the healing modality; to be able to facilitate a simple and yet powerful healing and transformational process to all my clients.
